Semi-browder Essential Spectra of Quasisimilar Operators
If T and S are quasisimilar bounded operators on Banach spaces, we prove that each closed-and-open subset of the lower semiBrowder essential spectrum of T intersects one special part of the upper semi-Browder essential spectra of T and S. AMS Mathematics Subject Classification (1991): 47A53, 47A10
متن کاملOn the semi-Browder spectrum
An operator in a Banach space is called upper (lower) semi-Browder if it is upper (lower) semi-Fredholm and has a finite ascent (descent). We extend this notion to n-tuples of commuting operators and show that this notion defines a joint spectrum. Further we study relations between semi-Browder and (essentially) semiregular operators. Denote by L(X) the algebra of all bounded linear operators i...

for each * in X. For any Banach space X and any element * of Xt J(x) is a nonempty closed convex subset of the sphere of radius ||x|| about zero in X*. If X* is strictly convex, J is a singlevalued mapping of X into X* and is continuous from the strong topology of X to the weak* topology of X*. J is continuous in the strong topologies if and only if the norm in X is C on the complement of the o...
متن کاملPositive Perturbations of Unbounded Operators
This work studies the spectral properties of certain unbounded selfadjoint operators by considering positive perturbations of such operators and the unitary equivalence of the perturbed and unperturbed transformations. Conditions are obtained on the unitary operators implementing this equivalence which guarantee that the selfadjoint operators have an absolutely continuous part.
